Frequently asked questions

What houseplants are safe for cats?

Spider plant, Boston fern, calathea, parlor palm and African violet are popular choices. See the full list above.

Are lilies safe for cats?

No. True lilies (Easter, tiger, stargazer, Asiatic and daylilies) can cause kidney failure in cats, even from pollen. Call your vet immediately if your cat is exposed.

My cat chewed a non-toxic plant and vomited. Is that normal?

Mild stomach upset can happen with any plant. Call your vet if vomiting continues or your cat seems unwell.
